This course provides disability support workers with the essential knowledge and skills to understand the role of medicines, and ways in which they can be taken. It also includes general side effects of common medications and how to manage medication incidents, as well as covering duty of care and the responsibilities of support workers. - Epilepsy Training for Support Workers and Midazolam Introduction via Intranasal and Buccal Routes
Live Virtual Classroom – 2 Hours 30 Mins
A must for support workers with clients living with epilepsy, this course develops the essential knowledge to understand and recognise epilepsy, trigger factors and different types of seizures. It covers the medications used to treat epilepsy, and strategies for minimising risks for clients with epilepsy during everyday activities. - Tube Feeding Management
Live Virtual Classroom – 2 Hours 15 Mins
This course is designed for people supporting clients who receive nutrition through a PEG (Percutaneous Endoscope Gastronomy) tube or PEJ (Percutaneous Endoscope Jejunostomy). It is designed to develop the essential knowledge required to manage different types of tubes, feeding regimes and care of the insertion site and PEG tube.
