Overview/Content
Our peripheral intravenous cannulation (PIVC) course will provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform cannulation in a clinical setting. This highly interactive IV cannulation course is designed to provide health professionals such as nurses, pathology or radiology staff with the knowledge and skills to undertake peripheral cannula insertion to promote the best practice outcomes for patient care. It is expected students are currently exposed to cannulation in performing their roles. Students will have the opportunity for practice and assessment on an IV cannulation training 'model' arm.
