Mental Health First Aid : Refresher

Mental Health First Aid : Refresher

Premium Health is pleased to facilitate Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) courses, as authored by Mental Health First Aid Australia, delivered by licensed Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) instructors.

The Mental Health First Aid refresher course is designed specifically for participants who have accredited as an MHFAider within the last three years. This course enables them to update their knowledge and skills in a supportive learning environment. The refresher includes new material, visual learning aids and an updated manual for each participant. For accredited Mental Health First Aiders, the course also provides an opportunity to extend current accreditation for a further 3 years.

You are eligible to attend a refresher course if you have accredited as an MHFAider within the last three years.

To attend this course, participants MUST bring their original MHFA certificate or evidence of previous attendance to their instructor on the day of training. Participants can contact Mental Health First Aid Australia directly (03 9079 0200) to confirm their status if they do not have this information or are not sure of the attendance dates.

Their renewed accreditation will be valid for 3 years from the date they passed their refresher online assessment. The Refresher Courses were released in early 2018. Anyone who has completed a Standard 2-day MHFA course in the last 3 years is eligible to attend. Please note: Your accreditation will only be extended if you have previously undertaken a MHFA course on or after July 1st, 2015, not before that date.
