Premium Health has trained in Immunisation Emergencies for over 20 years. In fact, we were the first provider to design and offer training in this course!
While 20 years ago no one considered the possibility of COVID-19, many of those who are responsible for immunisations in our community have needed to access this training regularly for best practice.
What’s this mean for you?
Premium Health have trained over 10,000 nurses; we know our Managing Immunisation Emergencies (MIE) Course for immunisers is perfectly designed for COVID-19 Immunisers.
This course is available for any updating or new immuniser – such as nurses, doctors, pharmacists, and dentists – and provides knowledge and skills regarding the giving of vaccinations, and dealing with any adverse events occurring post-immunisation that require an emergency response.
We offer two courses:
The full day course for new immunisers outlines the management of the immunisation and adverse events, discusses emergency procedural planning, and demonstrates the use of appropriate resuscitation equipment. Importantly, current CPR competencies are reviewed and assessed within the context of an immunisation adverse event.
The half day yearly update best practice course provides skills and knowledge including CPR for the immuniser to respond to an adverse event following immunisation (AEFI

The delivery mode for both courses is face-to-face training.
