Mental Health First Aid and returning to the workplace
The imminent return to centralised workplaces will bring a new set of mental health challenges to business and Premium Health are ready to support training in this area.
COVID has seen an escalation of mental health issues in our community and our accredited Mental Health First Aid course is a way employers can assist their employees in the workplace as they reintegrate back to work.
The course focuses on identifying, responding to and managing mental health issues in the workplace. Importantly, the training also provides a set of preventative measures – so proactive steps can be taken to secure the overall wellbeing of employees as they handle the daily mental and emotional challenges of work and life, on top of a return to traditional workplaces.
Our experienced mental health counsellors will help participants identify signs of depression and anxiety plus the associated coping mechanisms such as drug or alcohol abuse. The course also gives a better understanding of the common barriers employees face to seeking help.
The face-to-face Mental Health First Aid course is conducted over two days at our Melbourne training venue. For our Corporate clients wishing to conduct a Mental Health First Aid course we offer on-site face-to-face delivery over two days, or an online module with two × 2.5 hour Zoom sessions in a live virtual classroom – delivered where and when it suits your business.
Premium Health are proud to work with many organisations to raise awareness of mental health in Australia’s workplaces through our premium quality training.
