Infection Control for the Workplace

This public health-oriented training provides participants with the knowledge and skills to protect themselves and others from infectious diseases in accordance with organisational infection control procedures.

Participants will learn about safe work practices including the use of personal hygiene practices and equipment, management of a needle stick injury, management of blood and body fluid spills and the safe disposal of syringes and contaminated waste.

Face-to-Face Mode Only:

• Demonstrate effective hand washing technique


• Manage a minor blood spill


• Manage a needle stick injury

2 hours and 45 minutes live online training and knowledge assessment
2 hours and 30 minutes face-to-face training and knowledge assessment
