This course provides support workers with the essential knowledge and skills to understand some medicines and ways in which they can be taken. The program also includes general side effects of common medications and how to manage medication incidents.
Support workers will learn how to safely assist clients to use a dose administration aid (DAA) and will also complete a problem-solving exercise and complete a workplace medication incident report form.
