Poison is any substance that, when taken into the body may be harmful to the normal functioning of the body. Poisons may take the form of a solid (dishwashing granules), liquid (weed killer) or gas (cyanide). Poisons may enter the body by the mouth (ingested), lungs (inhaled) or skin (absorbed or injected).
