Premium Health is pleased to facilitate Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) courses, as authored by Mental Health First Aid Australia, delivered by licensed Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) instructors.
This course is an accredited program based on the International Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) guidelines. This course is suitable for any adult who is providing initial support to another adult with a mental health (psychological safety) concern or experiencing a mental health crisis. The program explores the signs and symptoms of common mental health problems, where and how to get assistance and what sort of support has been shown by research to be effective.

- Exploration of common mental health (psychological safety) conditions, including how to recognise signs and symptoms
- Mental illness explored in detail : Depression, Anxiety, Psychosis, Substance Use
- Mental health crisis first aid includes : Suicidal thoughts and behaviours, Non-suicidal self-injury, Panic attacks, Traumatic events and severe psychotic states, Acute effects from alcohol or other drug use, Aggressive behaviours
- Understand how to assist colleagues, direct reports or others in the workplace
- Learn where to direct the person to seek help (this may be your own employee assistance programs or broader professional programs)
