The real cost of workplace injuries
According to a survey by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, 58 out of every 1000 workers experienced an injury or illness in the workplace in 2009–10, resulting in an absence from work. A recent study by Safe Work Australia estimated that these work-related incidents cost our economy over $60 billion a year.

So how can we equip ourselves and empower each other with the tools to take action when they do occur, to minimise the impact of injuries on our workers’ lives – and our business’ productivity?
