Terms and Conditions – Public Courses

Withdrawals

  • Premium Health will issue an 80% refund of the course fee where notification of a course withdrawal is received 8 days or more* prior to course commencement (Note: if the booking is for a course that contains online e-learning and that online e-learning has been accessed, then no refund will be issued)
  • *Live Online Training with Knowledge and Skills Assessment courses require notification of a course withdrawal at least 15 days prior to course commencement to be eligible for a refund
  • No refund will be issued where notification of a course withdrawal is received 7 days or less prior to course commencement.
  • Should you be unable to attend a course you can nominate a substitute student to attend in your place at no additional charge.

Transfers

  • Premium Health will be happy to transfer your booking to another date where notification is received 8 days or more prior to the initial course commencement at no additional charge.
  • When you request to transfer your booking to another date and the notification is received 7 days or less prior to course commencement you will be required to pay a transfer fee equal to 100% of the course fee.

Course cancellations

  • Premium Health reserves the right to cancel courses or change dates if necessary.
  • Where Premium Health cancel or change the date of a course we aim to provide clients with adequate notice.
  • In this situation we will endeavour to negotiate alternative arrangements to the client’s satisfaction or Premium Health shall refund 100% of the course fees received.

Non-attendance

  • Where a student fails to attend a training course for which they have been scheduled, all payments will be forfeited unless there are exceptional circumstances which prevent them from attending such as an accident or illness and:
    • Notification is made to Premium Health no later than 24 hours from course commencement.
    • A medical certificate is provided no later than 48 hours from course commencement.
    • Where exceptional circumstances occur each case will be determined individually in relation to the cost of attending another course.
    • In these circumstances Premium Health will happily move your booking to another suitable date without charge otherwise we will issue an 80% refund of the course fee.
  • Students who attend a training course conducted via live virtual classroom without a working microphone and/or camera will be removed from the training program and all payments will be forfeited.

Certificates

  • In the circumstance that you require a hardcopy of your Statement of Attainment/Participation there will be a charge of $15 for each Statement issued.
  • Certificates will be issued upon course completion, within 10 business days of payment being received.

Recognition of prior learning

  • Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is the acknowledgement of the full range of an individual’s skills and knowledge, irrespective of how it has been acquired. As Premium Health’s scope of registration is limited to single units of first aid and short courses that have a validity period, individuals seeking RPL will be required to undertake an assessment of current competency. A fee of $350 will be charged for this assessment plus the cost of the unit/short course advertised on our website.

Learner support

  • Premium Health offers learner support services within the scope of its operations. The nature of the support depends on an assessment of the individual’s needs. If you know of anything that may prevent your employees from progressing through training and assessment, you are invited to call our National Training Manager (1300 721 292) to discuss and design a suitable support strategy. For further information regarding training, assessment requirements and Premium Health policies and procedures, we request that you and your employees view the course information on our website.

USI information

  • Accredited training can be tracked through the USI registry. If you want to have your details, or your student’s courses tracked please ensure they bring their USI (Unique Student Identifier) to this training. If students need to apply for a USI or need more information please visit the Unique Student Identifier website. The student’s full date of birth is also required to verify his/her USI. For students who are unable to provide a USI or provide a USI that can not be verified their training outcome will not be recorded on their USI account and will not be available in future years as part of the authenticated USI transcript service.

Terms and Conditions – Corporate Courses

Invoices

  • Premium Health will issue your invoice 7 days prior to the commencement of your training session.
  • Premium Health’s standard payment terms are 14 days from date of invoice.

Transfers/Cancellations – Live Online Training with Knowledge & Skills Assessment

  • We will  transfer your booking to another date where notification is received 8 days or more prior to the initial course commencement at no additional charge.
  • When you request to transfer your booking to another date and the notification is received 7 days or less prior to course commencement you will be required to pay a transfer fee equal to 100% of the course fee.
  • When you request to cancel your booking to another date and the notification is received 14 days or less prior to course commencement you will be required to pay a transfer fee equal to 100% of the course fee.
  • In exceptional circumstances, Premium Health reserves the right to cancel or change the date of your booking. If payment has been made for this training, Premium Health will arrange to issue a refund.
  • Students must bring their equipment pack to their live online training. Students who do not bring their equipment pack to the class will be asked to leave and need to rebook at full fee.

  • We will cancel or transfer your booking to another date where notification is received 8 days or more prior to the initial course commencement at no additional charge.
  • When you request to cancel or transfer your booking to another date and the notification is received 7 days or less prior to course commencement you will be required to pay a transfer fee equal to 100% of the course fee.
  • In exceptional circumstances, Premium Health reserves the right to cancel or change the date of your booking. If payment has been made for this training, Premium Health will arrange to issue a refund.

Certificates

Venue requirements

  • Adequate heating, cooling, lighting and ventilation.
  • Room adequately sized for the number of students with carpeted floor space to facilitate practical components of the course.
  • Chairs and tables/desks for each student.
  • Whiteboard.
  • Parking space for the trainer, adjacent to the venue to facilitate off-loading equipment.
  • A staff member to meet and assists with unloading and carrying of equipment and direct our trainer to the training room.
  • Adheres to occupational health and safety and fire regulations.

Learner support

Premium Health were fast, flexible and willing to assist at all times, we changed sessions from face-to-face (on-site) to video conferencing for all of our people. This was a great achievement and provided a great outcome.
