HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on a person (infant, child and adult) who is unresponsive and not breathing until the arrival of medical support and subsequent transfer to hospital.
Trained in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines, our CPR training will train students to care for and manage a person in cardiac arrest and provide quality instructional skills on life support (correct ratio of rescue breathing to chest compressions).
Each student will have their own manikin to ventilate and compress the chest to perfect their technique.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty including CPR to an ill and/or injured person, to coordinate first aid until the arrival of medical assistance and effectively communicate and document the incident.
Trained in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines, in the CPR component each student will have their own manikin to ventilate and compress the chest to perfect their technique.
The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults. The unit applies to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting who have a duty of care and are required to respond to first aid emergencies including asthma and anaphylaxis.
Trained in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines, in the CPR component each student will have their own manikins to ventilate and compress the chest to perfect their technique.
