HLTAID004 Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting.

Anaphylaxis training – From $69

This anaphylaxis training course teaches students to recognise a life-threatening allergic reaction and competently administer adrenaline via a pre-loaded injecting device.

Remote situations first aid – $395

This nationally accredited course develops the knowledge and skills to provide a remote first aid response and emergency life support to a casualty in a remote or isolated environment.

Asthma Risks & Emergencies - From $69

This short course is designed to develop the skills and knowledge to enable giving assistance to a person having an asthma attack in the workplace and administering either the casualty’s own asthma bronchodilator medication or the organisation’s asthma first aid equipment.

Advanced first aid – From $360

This course develops the skills and knowledge required to provide an advanced first aid response, including management of the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance.

Provide advanced resuscitation

This course describes the skills and knowledge required to use specialised equipment in the provision of resuscitation in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

UETTDRRF06B Perform rescue from a live LV panel

This workshop will train you in the essential knowledge and skills you require to perform rescue from a live LV panel. It covers the performance of rescue procedures from live Low Voltage (LV) apparatus, not including overhead lines and underground cables in the work place.

What is a USI?

The Unique Student Identifier or USI is a reference number made up of 10 numbers and letters that:

  • creates a secure online record of your recognised training and qualifications gained in Australia, even from different training organisations
  • will give you access to your training records and transcripts (available in mid 2016)
  • can be accessed online, anytime and anywhere
Do I need a USI?

The Student Identifiers Act in 2014 requires that all students enrolled in nationally recognised training provide their Registered Training Organisation (RTO) with their USI. This is applicable to all HLT and VIC units.

How long is my course valid?

Provide First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis are valid for 3 years. It is recommended by the ARC that Provide CPR is updated annually
