Managing immunisation emergencies (new learner)

The managing immunisation emergencies course (MIE) provides the knowledge and skills required to manage potentially life-threatening adverse events immediately following immunisation (AEFI). This course incorporates the HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation unit of competency from the Health Training Package. This unit is recognised nationally within the Australian Qualifications Framework. This course attracts 7 CPD points. Prior to 2011, in conjunction with La Trobe University, this course was required by nurses for accreditation as a nurse provider of immunisation to infants, children and adults by the Department of Health and Human Services, Victoria.

Participants will receive HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation Statement of Attainment upon successful completion.
